Hi, could anyone tell me what is the maximum height a CPU cooler could be in the Coolermaster Elite 335 Case.

Thanks in advance

Shane

i had a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 in one, and had room to spare,

worked very well :)

I've got one of these with an Akasa 876 cooler which is 138mm high, and as best as i can guess there is another 25mm to spare, i would say anything under 155mm will fit.

Thanks for that people, any ideas of a good quiet cooler for AMD x4 995, or is the corsair h50 the best bet.

Thanks

shane

The only downside to the Elite 335 is the complete lack of space for cable management...:(

On the plus side though it can take even the longest GPU...:)

Use a tape measure. OCUK pretty much all the time has the dimensions for each dimension needing product (cases, CPU coolers etc). Don't quote me on it but aren't most cases the same sorta width where as they vary more in height. I measured my coolermaster sileo 500 and I reckon I can fit a Noctua Dual Radiator cooler in mine with about 1cm to spare lol!

I got a cooler in, I measured it and anything under 160mm fits, I will upload a photo of it now its finished :)

Thanks

Shane

Here are the pictures, sorry about the phone camera

Spec:

AMD PII 955 @ 3.8Ghz (52* full load @ stock vcore)
Asus M4A79XTD Evo
4Gb Corsair DDR3 1333Mhz
500Gb spinpoint F3 HDD
ATI 5770
Zalman CNPS10X-Performa CPU Cooler
OcUK 650W Dual Rail High Efficiency Modular PSU
Cooler Master 355 case

One thing I am a little disappointed about is the noise of the PSU considering it was meant to be quiet, maybe I should have bought the corsair instead of ocuk 650w.

I am very impressed with it, it is much quieter. I haven't noticed it at all, even next to it with the case side off you can only just hear it. It also come with the option for push - pull fans to increase cooling more but it seems to be very good. My temp of 52* load is in a hot room. I would say its a great product at a great price :)

On the other hand the PSU not so great, performance wise its good but the fan noise is a bit too much for my liking, i may have to do something about it, I will try removing the fan grill see if that helps.

Sorry to hijack your thread. Your case did it come with a funnel thing to direct air from the side vent down to the CPU cooler?
If so does anyone know what it would be called and where I could buy one? Need another to mod my intake fan.

It did come with one, I think they call it a cpu intake fan duct, not sure where you would find one though. Maybe a quick google is in order

cool looking rig tho, way better looking then my crap.

Glad I found this :) I was wondering the same thing as the OP. I've got about £30 to spend on a new cooler and cant decide which to get.... I've narrowed it down to a few and wanted to make sure they would fit in the case.

In order of preference:-
Frio - 165mm
Ferir - 156mm
Flex (with viper fan) or performa - 153mm
thermax eclipse II - 156mm

Anyone else tried any of the above in a 335 case?
