I got a Canon 400D, with a 50mm f/1.8 II Lens. Love it so far.

that 50mm 1.8 is really sharp! I'm thinking of getting one for my 400D later this week.

Superb lens. You won't be at all disappointed it you get one.

Not been out with it yet, and these are far from the best of what the lens can do, but they'll suffice, for now

Nice shots. The fact that every surface the dog is on, is in contrast/compliments to it's appearance helps no end.

can just about see you taking the photo when zooming in on the dogs eyes

a few hours on photoshop and you could change the reflection to something funny like an outline of a demon taking the pic, just to scare people

I love those shots, especially the first and the third - I am a sucker for a really well aimed DoF and I think that you nailed it on those two.

Only think that I would change is the watermark, but then, I hate watermarks personally!

Also, your dog is a right grumpy sod!

Aye, shot them in color then applied a black and white filter along with high-pass sharpening in photoshop.

The watermark is pretty bad, If I get round to it I'll try design my own little logo. I'm sure I saw a tutorial somewhere of only showing a watermark if the image is highlighted, may try find it.
