EMA

I'm 16 and I'll be going to college or sixth form in september- but my dad earns over 30k a year so I'm not entitled to EMA. I think this is wrong as most people on EMA will only spend it on booze etc and they don't have to work! I have a part time job and I will be needing to buy travel and books etc.

Will I get found out if I only put my mum's income so I will be entitled to £30 a week?

I'd rather the same, but what I'm trying to say is my parents don't give e £30 a week to spend on crap (as what the majority seem to do), I have to work for it.

Yes, it just asks for proof of income.. So rather than sending off my dad's wage slip and my mum's, just my mum's.

But from reading previous posts it doesn't seem a good idea.

I have a part-time job, which is half the reason I'm complaining because while I'm working the EMA'ers are spending their easily earnt cash.
