Howdo all,

I have a private email address which is on my domain. I'd like rather than have to log in to the webmail on the server, for it to be connected to my Gmail account so that I can send and recieve emails on both addresses from my one Gmail account.

Why you ask? I have an Android phone with Gmail built in, and I use a Firefox plugin to check my Gmail for me every minute. I've tried other solutions and I'm convinced this would be the best solution for me.

Sorry, can I do this and if so how?

EDIT: I see you sneaky editing.... :P Cheers I'll look into it again.

Gmail tends to set "sent on behalf of" when you send messages for external domains with it - at least for me anyway.

If you're not too tied to your current email provider you could let Google handle all your email with Google Apps - it's free (you have to dig around a bit for the link) and you can have POP/IMAP/Webmail (Gmail interface)/Mobile sync and all that for free.

Righteo, I set it up with POP3 I think. Seems to work fine so far, but in the show details bit it does say "mailed-by: gmail.com". I don't think this is such a bad thing really?

Outlook tends to do this:
