Just installed windows 7 and realised it doesnt come with email software.

So i downloaded Windows Live Mail.

Maybe its just me and im not used to the layout, but it looks and feels rubbish.

Is there an email software that is like windows mail used to be on Vista ?

thanks

That is true, but then haven't Mozilla abandoned Thunderbird?

I used to use Outlook from Office 2010, but outlook.com covers all my needs really.

Thunderbird was updated only a couple of weeks ago if I remember rightly.

I used to use Outlook 2000 then 2003 for years. Now I just use GMail and Google Apps. Much easier as it means my mail is all in one place no matter if I'm on PC, netbook or smartphone.

Thunderbird is still getting official development for at least one year.

After that it wil be handed over to the community, as Mozilla do not want to actively develop it anymore.

Thanks for all the sugestions.

Im sort of getting used to windows live mail, bit of a shock to the system as i had a hard drive fail and i decided to get windows 7.
So at the moment my PC feels like it someone elses at the moment, untill i change wallpaper and install software, add bookmarks etc.

Recently installed Thunderbird and it's not bad at all, added the Calendar add-on and does everything I need.

Another vote for Thunderbird. I know Mozilla are only planning on doing maintenance releases from now on, which is a shame, but still my preferred client of choice.
