Does anyone use this software in the External Western Digital Hard drives? I just got a new 500gb drive and I am wondering if I should instal it or not. I have red some not so good reviews on the software so I'm tending to think I shouldnt bother since the only thing I am using it for is to dump data in.
If I dont use the software I have red that the led/light thing on the HDD doesn't function without the software as it is intended to. Does this make a difference apart from accurate LED of how much space I have used around the inner circle of the HDD?
