is there anyway of actually reducing or preventing the amount of emi given off by a pc?

i never noticed before just how much is given off by mine......when connecting a hdd the other day, my case side was off and the picture was appalling on my tv, but when i put the case back on, the picture was better but not perfect.

Buy a better/newer/reputable/etc PSU. Won't eliminate it but should reduce significantly :D
