Is it worth it? £11.46 for the three unit packs and the Warpath Campaign. On the one hand, its nice to have extra stuff, but the principle of the whole thing isn't very good. I'm deffinately going to get the Warpath Campaign, but I'm uhming and aahing over the other three unit packs.

Is one of the units a 'make this stupid game work properly rifleman brigade'? if so, then go for it, if not then don't bother... unless it has been fixed now, but I'm still annoyed from few months ago when it still didn't work

It works out at 38 new units for £5.50.
I've been playing the game fine without them, but there's several I could deffinately see myself using, they would fit into my playstyle, and would make the game more interesting since there's more variety in my army, and the enemies.

Rather then buy the new units search mods many of them have far more new units and better one's. Though not as good as they could be if CA\Sega stuck to their promise to release proper modding tools to the community that they have now binned since cottoning on that they could charge people for what they used to get free.
No the game is not fixed completely but they have announced there will be no more major patches for ETW as they are now concentrating on NTW so no more of my money will be going CA\Sega's way again.

another vote for the mods. Personally I wouldnt pay for any DLC for this game, once you get high up the tech tree the novelty of 'how many ways can I blow up the enemy AI whose one and only tactic is to charge the centre of my line with everything' starts to wear off. The AI are dense, they once marched in line into my massed cannons, and the mods cant mess with the AI. Sad.
At least with MTW you expect mass hand to hand but the ai in ETW is woeful and thats being very polite add in the bits that were hyped and advertised and never made it into the game and it all adds up to no more money for them

.Nothing can change the AI behaviour unfortunately - darthmod messes with quite a lot of the other stuff and changes firing distances etc, but the stupid AI will still form squares at the hint of cavalry even when under fire, not protect their flanks or their artillery and basically be very beatable with a little tactical knowledge. Its a damn tragedy and those sutupid mags that said the AI was 'human-like' must have left out the human was 6 years old. grrrrrrr.

LOL, it works fine.
Darthmod as said alters a lot of the game but sadly without the modding tools there is absolutely nothing any modder can do about the AI that makes it even slightly a challenge. As for the reviews for this game sorry but it is clear money was given to any publication that did a favourable review because they are all so far out on the real ETW it's scary. Getting hold of grand commander darthmod which is the one that makes the most alterations is not easy though many of the download links didn't work for me and i had to get a friend to copy his download so i could get it.
Got darth mod grand commander fine first time yesterday.
I only got empire for xmas stopped playing it already
