**EMPIRE TOTAL WAR**

loving the demo, but am having ridiculously long load times for battles or tutorials that i hope arent present in the game. mine are around 3-4mins each and looking at the official empire total war feedback thread on Yuku it looks like this is quite common.

i also have a grapihcal glitch when the game first loads everything flashes then i just have to toggle a graphical setting, reload (another 3 mins waiting) then everything is ok again. strange - anyone else having this?

Is there a way to make the camera move faster when you're zoomed in?
If it's like previous TWs, you can get speedier camera movement by using mouse and keyboard controls simultaneously.

I'm not bothering with the demo; I nearly didn't buy M2:TW after I played the demo for that, as it was slow and buggy as hell. Luckily it wasn't indicative of release version performance.

I'm certain that this is the case here, too.

How does this game run on everybody's computer? I only have an E6600 clocked at 3ghz, 4gb of corsair dominator 1066mhz ram and an 8800GTX and I was a bit concerned that the scale and quality of this game might mean I struggle to run it at reasonable settings. I'm not looking to run it at very high detail but would like to get as much out of it as I can. Am really looking forward to this, need to get home and download the demo now! :)

I have the same CPU and ram however i do have a ATI 4870. Runs fantastic here, all on high/ultra with 4 AA. No problems what so ever runs realllly smooth. I think with a 8800 GTX you should be fine on high settings. The engine is really good.

I've got a 2.5ghz Wolfdale, 4GB ram and a 512mb 8800GT and it seems to run very well at 1920x1200. I've not adjusted any settings from default, but it defaulted to that resolution (my native) so I've left it as is for the time being.

Just completed the naval battle and it is so cool watching them board other ships and then pile on for the fight. I am VERY impressed with this short demo teaser, the TW series really does seem to evolve well. WOuld be cool if they could upgrade ROME and M2W to this engine but eh, you can't have everything. :p

Ultra settings 1920res, 2xAA, 16AF and i get 15-20 fps inside the main battle when lots of stuff are happening. quite dissapointing to be honest. My mate with the same specs but a gtx295 gpu gets 25-30fps at 1080p in the main battle.

i dont know where all the "the game runs smooth on my 8800gt-utlra settings" talk is coming from. I get 50-60 fps on the tutorial but thats does not represent the big battles that the game offers.

I must say it seems very easy, I just grouped all my units together and then just charged the enemy and won easily. I couldn't do that with previous games.

I did get hammered the in my first navel battle but then once I knew what I was doing it was a clean Victory.

I've ordered it but only because a mate likes it and we will play a few online other wise I wouldn't have bothered.

I imagine the final game will have oodles of AI options, the demo was just meant as a teaser. The demos of RTW and M2W also weren't difficult.

How do you see what the Frame Rate is within the game?

Download FRAPS.
