**EMPIRE TOTAL WAR**

Been playing it for 7 hours it's very good but like others have said *FAR* more complex, In all that time I took 2 settlements :p. Anyone with the special forces edition playing Britain know how to get those Rogers rangers?

lol Richdog - I think bloodline76 was being sarcastic when he said it was rubbish.

I'm loving the game so far. There is 1 little niggle i have, which is the tool tips - when you hover over something for instance, a trait; instead of showing you one big tool tip, it cycles through a series of smaller ones, so you have to wait for the one you want to appear. I'd rather just have one big tool tip appear with all the information.

I might try the Road to Independance campaign actually. I maybe missing some vital information or feature if I carry on with the grand campaign first.

Can't wait for this, buying it next week in NYC :D

Does the special forces look like it did when it was first announced? Don't see much mention of the big nice package but i would like the map and a nice package, i don't buy many games anymore and have been looking forward to this but no way i'm paying 15£ just for a couple of units.

Cant be bothered to install the discs but it may not be a bad idea to be honest.. Poor STEAM is getting a right hammering.

ahhh I got mine downloading at home at the mo - it was 30% when I left for work at 6.30 this morning - I am sorely tempted to leave early today but the wife would kill me!!

Kids love it when I get a new game as they are able to stay up for longer when the wife is out...like tonight, as I forget to put them to bed...in fact I actually forget they are there.

does the old (tilde key Add_money 4000000) still work? Not that I will use it str8 away of course

This is one stupid way of buying a game, got a "retail" version from (what could be classed as a competitor) last night, just put the first dvd in, folowed the instructions, entered cd key in steam......at 9am....."downloading update at 810kbps and I am at 15%.....most annoyed. No wonder people dont buy games if this is what you have to put up with.

I would, Steam was a bit of a failure for me last night. Kept on getting errors saying it can't authencate and upgrade because Steam was overloaded.

Plus it botched the first install and I had to redo it with the discs.

In exchange you get proof of ownership through the steam account, and the possibiltiy to never lose your game, come on?

Don't see why anyone pre-ordered this on steam, especially the Special Forces Edition! Was £37.99 highstreet, and I had £20 voucher I hadn't spent so got it for £18 out my pocket! :) Normal version was £32 iirc

/Strokes his copy

Guys, I've heard a few of you mentioning the 'demo.' Could someone point me in the right direction if it's still out there?

From what I've read so far, I'd quite like to try this one before I buy :D

Cheers.

EDIT: Okay, I've found it on Steam ;)
