hi
wondering if anyone has had experience or can offer advice
my company made an acquisition and our office was absorbed into a different head office
it left me in the same office but under contract with the original head office (if that makes sense)

I have a different manager etc

anyway it's not really working out and I was considering asking to be moved to the other head office. its the same company but in a different region.

should my contract remain the same / my current benefits , pay , holidays etc
just not sure of the law here.
I like the hours I work and don't want to change them.

just want to know my rights before I talk to them (if I have any :o)

of course they could turn around and say they don't want me too

If the company offer you changes to your terms and conditions of employment, you have the right to either accept them or to not accept them.

They may simply offer to change the office you work for. They may want to change other elements of the offer (pay, hours, etc) to suit the new office.

It's up to you to negotiate the details of the changes before you accept them.

Under TUPE your existing rights and benefits would or should have been protected under the terms of the takeover, acquisition or merger.

If you request a change of location, you are effectively applying for a different position within the same company. Any negotiations on that position are new and could be assessed on the companies business plan and strategies for that location.
