Empty room, what to do with it?

What rooms do you already have?
Affordable houses have so few rooms of a decent size that I can't imagine ever having a room I can't find a use for, even if it was just storage. One of the problems I tend to find with houses is they rarely have sufficient space on the ground floor, to the extent that I have to look for houses with more bedrooms than we need and then use one of the upstairs rooms for something I'd prefer to have downstairs. I want at least 8 rooms on the ground floor to be honest.
 
I'm in the process of turning my basically unused dining room into a chill out room, basically a second living room really.

Pretty sure it's going to turn into a VR room eventually though!
 
Apologies I forgot the dimensions, thanks bayo000. Room is 4.5m x 3.5m it's not huge but it's not small.

So many great suggestions but I only have one room begging, and I'm the most incomprehensibly indecisive person on the planet. Oh this is going to be difficult, maybe I should ask my 2 year old to choose, asking my eldest would yield only one result.

The room is a ground floor room, I have a multi gym in the passageway that could be moved if needed, don't need room for cardio equipment as I run/cycle. TV/entertainment/bed/living area is all upstairs, said room doesn't catch the sun at all and is naturally cold, gloomy and somewhat miserable.

Inevitably the little monsters will have access at times so anything electronic or valuable will need protecting by a blast shield at the very least.

I'm not doing very well am I :p
 
Projector, pull down screen, surround sound with amp, it's then a multi purpose.home.cinema, gaming, music chill out space, beer fridge would be nice addition

First kid who moves out will find their old room transformed to that
