Is this real life?!

Literally blocks of empty seats at the gymnastics (possibly corporate / sponsors?), loads at the swimming as well and there was quite a few at the womens basketball.

Yeah they are corporate seats, and with it only being the swimming heats I think they just CBA turning up.

They are sold out for the fans and people who want to go an watch. Those empty seats are allocated to companies and sponsors who obviously dont care about the sport and cant be bothered to turn up

I think that if a certain percentage of seats allocated to a company or organisation aren't filled for each event, they should forfeit their tickets for the later events, or be told to put tickets back in the 'pool' so that they can be re-allocated or purchased by people that actually want to go.

I did make a thread with this exact title earlier. :p

Its got to be noted though during this mornings swimming session there was quite a few 'cheap' seats that were empty as well. But there was hundreds of the corporate ones empty.

Let's hope Seb keeps his word then.

"Lord Coe has previously threatened to name and shame companies which do not use their tickets."

in a news conference at the mo he's said thats not what we are about.

got to love seb being the slimey sod back tracking.

The corporations should give out spare tickets to their staff, it's what the company I work for does and I've been to things like Wimbledon before for free. Good staff incentive and keeps the seats full.

desperate for tickets.

Well yeah that's also the fault of the ticket site, it's a total abomination of a website, I know loads of people that didn't get tickets that they had in their basket because the payment system just kept on breaking. People should get banned from website development for that.
