lol.. Hi, I'm aware "liney" isnt the best description but anyway, thats all I can think of , the screens go bad/liney/slightly fuzzy and the lines move down the monitors, picture is not distorted other than these

one is a 19" widescreen and the other is an older 15" non-widescreen, using ultramon to try and dual-screen (both monitor's display correctly if used on their own)...

anyone have a clue why this is happening? and if its a simple case of interferance between the cables :S then how can I prevent it, the cables are pretty far from each other except for when they go into the video card (1950pro AGP)

ps: both monitors are using a VGA to DVI adaptor

Thanks for any help

Not sure mate tbh, I assume you have checked and set them up correctly in the device settings. Also search for DisplayFusion to control the dual screen. I have had issues with UltraMon that I dont with DisplayFusion ;)

thanks... ill try display fusion tomorow, however, I have read a description online which sounds exactly like my problem, this says that it is caused by improper/inadequate shielding within the screen itself :S (my small 15" TFT non-wide is quite old but wouldnt have thought it would suffer from this)... will see anyway

try turning the monitor on and off, insane i know but it works for me (same issue) only since swapping from ATI to NV though (also using Ultramon)
