So I recently got a second 970. Never sli'd. I have a bridge on the two cards but can't seemed to get them into SLI. The system detects them both though.

I went to the NVIDIA control panel thing to configure SLI but it's on disabled and won't give me the option to turn it on.

If it does support SLI, do you have the 970's in the correct PCI-E slots, they can only work in SLI if they are in the primary slot and the other slot that works at x8, because SLI needs x8 / x8 to work mininum.

Check your motherboard manual.

Slot 2 and 4 should work, does it have dipswitches?

Do you have other cards in the PCIe slots, eg slot 6? That may reduce the bandwidth to slot 4 below x8 stopping SLI.

No monitor in the second one. I think I found the problem, it could potentially be a big derp XD My mate gave me an xfire bridge from his old 280's . Only just noticed their not sli. Not sure if it matters or not, probably just a big "No no" moment.

Sorry for late replies, appreciate the help ( currently abroad though) I don't think I have an SLI bridge but I'm going to just buy one I guess. Thank you ^^
