Enabling Vt-x P6T

Hi all
I am trying to run Windows 8 on VirtualBox. I have turned on Vt-x under settings but every time i run the VM i get an error explaining i need to turn on vt-x in the bios.

I have an Asus P6T and an i7 920. I cant find a vt-x option. I have found Vt-d and enabled it but i still get the same error.

Any ideas?

As far as i'm aware, VT-d and VT-x are separate from each other. VT-d being a chipset function and VT-x a processor function.

Google shows me many people having the same problem on X58 boards where VT-d isn't implemented properly.

My advice: Make sure you've got the latest BIOS for the P6T

I will update the bios and see if that cures the problem.
