encrypting a .rar file

hello i read on another thread that a person encrypts his rar files of things like important docs etc.. how do u do this lol, i made a rar with all the files i wanna protect in it but cant see how to encrypt them

when you create a rar file, add a password to it!

password protect the files perhaps?
or try truecrypt.

right click on the selected files------->Add to archive ------->advanced set password, encrypt file names, select lock archive, select put authenticity verification and create solid archive, only with the password are you likely to get in then
