I did a search and couldn't see anything posted about this.

I just tried loading Encyclopedia Dramatica (http://encyclopediadramatica.com/) and it seems that it is no more, and instead you get re-directed to what I presume is its intended 'replacement'. The new site is called ohinternet (http://ohinternet.com/Main_Page - really?).

It looks like ohinternet is intended to be a completely sanitised version of ED.

ED was a mixed bag of stuff (hate/parody/close to the bone material), but most of its content was actually pretty hilarious.

I felt a bit sad about the end of this so just thought I'd share :(

Noooooo!!!

It was a source of great entertainment, a pretty big resource of all the stupid & funny geek stuff the internet has to offer.
They always had a banner on the main page asking for donations to keep the site going, am guessing with it's dodgy content it couldn't secure any advertising.

Gutted :(

I'm sure you'll manage.

Some of their articles were amusing but for the most part it was no better than 4chan.

I loved reading ED, it was just a bit of fun and not to be taken seriously.
I hope someone will revive something similar as that ohinternet site is just rubbish in comparison.

There's a cached version of it's own description on Google.

Won't link to it as it's not really child friendly

I tried it yesterday randomly, and it was showing a cartoon picture of a cat hanging on to the webpage with the words "Hang in there, be back soon, in the mean time check out our new blog" which is the site it now redirects to, so maybe it will be back at some point
