It a group 8 ish insurance, its not that expensive. I paid £380 a year fully comp at 25 on one.
I used to get 40mpg out of mine as well.

Even if it is a diesel.My flatmate recently paid £6.5k for a 04 plate 320d SE which is immaculate with 70k on the clock.
I remember my mate going from an XR3 to an XR3i and banging on about having 105bhp. That was until I wasted him in my Uno Turbo which had a whopping 120bhp.
