Major issue. Keep getting connection reset when trying to create an account. Installed it and it put on patch 1.1

After restart tried creating account and it's a negative. Program is in the allow list for my firewall. Looked on the official forum and it seems I'm far from the only one, just wondering if anyone here has managed to resolve the issue?

No idea mate. Tt tells me in game when I try to create an account, that's the exact message - "connection reset". My router doesn't show me anything out of the ordinary in its logs.

I just tried another version of firmware on my router and it's the same. Thinking about taking it back to GAME for my money back...

Got mine today and same problem i had with demo. My graphics drivers is out of date :confused:

they cant be i updated them yesturday. Could vista 64 be the problem or what?

^^ Not sure mate, mine plays fine in single player. Which GFX card do you have?

TBH it's not a good start to this game is it?

Looking through the forums, it seems that the people with most issues are either with Eclipse or Tiscali.

i used vista 64 and managed to install and play the demo with no problems, although when i patched SupComm to the latest version i got the same message.

I've finally created an account. Still finding it hard to connect to a server though. Plus the game keeps CTD. Anyone on here playing it fine on a 7900 series NVidia? if so what drivers are you using?

Ordered a 8800GTX OC2 today and if this game still doesnt work im gonna go mental. Soz just thought id say it, i really enjoyed the demo even more than BF2 so im desperate to play it

well im on bt and you can see my setup in my sig and i never fail to get connected to any of the servers,great game

For people playing on Vista, if you find the gam stutters around every 20 - 30 seconds, then it is probably the Windows sidebar causing this. Simply switch it off before starting the game and you should find it runs a lot smoother.

I'll be getting a 8800 GTX next Friday, so I think I'll give the game a miss till then. My PC probably needs a re-format, and since I do that anyway when changing GFX cards I think I'll just wait.

My copy still not arrived... must be those damn Royal Mail people striking that held it up! Selfish ********!

Sigh....

So, do I get it through steam, and re-sell/send back amazon copy, or do I just wait? Decisions. Had not planned on doing anything other than playing that ALL weekend, as not done anything that silly in a while.

Now I might have to actually go out over the weekend!

Unless I jsut play Crysis MP all weekend...

Ok, am a little confused by something. Steam says it's availalbe for pre-order, but it list the release date as 5th October... thats today. So why isn't it jsut on sale rather than pre-order?

Still can't play on-line, though I've been playing single player. Not too keen on it really, though I hope MP will be better.

Have had absolutely no problems connecting myself.... demo, or version bought on steam.

Have had zero CTD. Absolutely no problems whatsoever. This is Vista with spec in sig.

Am having fun with this game. Strogg seem a lot easier to play than GDF, so I am sticking with GDF until I have it mastered. Keep getting owned big time.

It really is important in this game to perform the tasks specific to their classs. E.G no mechanics or mechanics not repairing equipment can make a field-ops class more difficult.

Medics really do help with regards to being able to avoid any possible treks back to where you were.

All in all, a good game, just with a very big learning curve.

how do you rate it compared to BF2?

ETQW has a nice server browser

I like the speed with which you can run

Shooting enemy is quite rewarding

Sometimes it is slightly too chaotic though
