Was playing this last night after having owned RTCW for well over a year now and have only this to say.

Why the hell have I not played this before? It was a right laugh and is a damn good game but not, imo, as good as cod, mainly for the fact that you can end up TK'ing as no name shows up over a certain away. But anyway, having an absolute blast with this and can't wait for dinner for another blast

I assume ET: Quake Wars is similar to this with regards to the gameplay?

Gameplay yes (until someone comes here and says its a BF clone :confused:

) it just set in the future and has some tweaks, there are strogg and Human tutorial videos on the net somewhere but i cant find them while at work (pretty sure i got them from gamershell).

Main change seems to be that the strogg will have some weird alieness about them (hard to explain watch the vids) and im looking forward to see how they balance the to differing types.

And yes why haven't you played ET before? unless you were computer and internet-less in a cave somewhere there is no excues.

you should tweak your config, makes the game lighter and a lot easier to see people aswell. There are loads of things you can change in ET in the config file that will help you become better at the game

And no its not cheating..

Thres limits t the FoV changes Punkbuster allows but as despite many hours play im fairly crap anyway i dont overly worry. Tend to stick to Eng and get objectives letting others rack up the kill counts.

bind 2 spare buttons on your mouse to fov 90 and fov 120 then have the best of both worlds. It acts like a zoom
