enermax aurora keyboard

Hopefully Shine you are reading this :D , need a bit of help.

I received the keyboard, mouse and speakers today, extremyl happy with the quality of everything but having a few problems though.

When you switch your keyboard on do all the lights shine up and stay on all the time?

For the little battery indicator does it fill up completely? Since mine dose not it only fills up half way how ever long i leave it on. This is the same with my mouse.

Also the top buttons (F-Keys) when i press them nothing ever happens nor do the light light up?

Hopefully you can help Shine, greatly appreciate it.

No - they only light up for a short time when you're using them.

It never fills up - that's how it works. It confused me for a while too.

I'll have to check on that when I get home.

Thank you very much Shine, my main concern was about the F-Key buttons, well to put it simple they dont work. :(

Very nice keyboard though, Mouse is also very nice and the speakers   the base is phenomenal. :D

When you press the F key button (next to the right ctrl key) does your keys light up then? Its the only time they are meant to as that is when they are active. When using them as normal function keys they will not light up.

Yes it does, but the keys dont respond to anything. :(

Its amazing, just like a sub woofer but without one. :p They are pretty big but not so big that they are out of sync. The sound is crisp, well worth getting.

Which keys are you trying? F9-F12 are custom keys so you need to assign them tasks. Also the obvious question have you installed the latest version on setpoint?

That's good but is it booming bass? Unless the people on the next street over can hear the bass its not good enough. :p

Which keys? I'm at home now so I can test them here.

Ok

Working Keys = F1,F3,F5,F6,F7,F8,

Non Working Keys = F2,F4,F9,F10,F11,F12.

When i assign say one of the working keys to open a program like Firefox, it does something completely different like open a help function up.

If you leave F4 as default it will open the default browser - works for me always starts firefox.

Hmm, just tried assigning Firefox to F12 and it doesn't work. I'll have to have a play.

Looks like I'm having similar problems - they were working when I bought the keyboard but I recently updated setpoint to fix a problem with the MX Revolution and not tested the keyboard since.

I have the Z-10's (awesome!) and the Enermax Aurora, but the diNovo has caught my eye too, along with the MX Revolution...

What are they like for gaming - any lag? FPS mainly...

The keyboard and the MX Mouse isnt the best for games to be honest. Nice if your doing office work and it all looks great together. I bought it mainly for looks, dont play many games.

Thanks for your replys Shine, one more thing. Your MX Mouse does it lag a bit or is it ok?

Mine seems to lag quite a bit. :(

Mine doesn't lag at all - but I had to set the pointer acceleration in setpoint to high otherwise it felt sluggish. You might have to do the same - I've always found the default settings on my Logitech mice to feel sluggish.

Welldone stealing this thread guys, i'll join in :D

Iv'e got the MX revolution now, and i just thought it was very uncomfortable to use, which is anoying for me really as i will have to endure another wie across my desk now. What do we think, intellimouse or death adder ?

On the other hand, i need a new keyboard aswell. I have got a wireless HP now that hasn't been juiced up for about 5 months, it still runs :p but it is awful to use, giving lots of typos and making me look retarded :( I have looked at the two keyboards you lot have. Does the EDGE lag at all ? and what is the battery life like ?

And where did you get that rest in front of your keyboard shine ? it looks comfy :)

No lag on the keyboard. I gave it a full charge when I bought it and not charged it since. Setpoint estimates another 20 days before it will need charging. It arrived on the 1st June. Its from a competitor but if you drop me a mail I'll send you the link - it is very comfortable.

Why did you find the MX uncomfortable? I've found it to be an excellent mouse.

Thanks shine. Think i will a look at getting that keyboard. How does it connect to the PC ? i guess its another one of those usb dongles is it ?

I'm not sure about the MX, it has all the features and no lag at all, i just don't find it that comfy. I think that second wheel gets in the way for me.
