Enermax Tiwster Everest

Evening.
Has anyone got one of these plugged directly into their motherboard? And can it replace the stock main fan (what i mean is does it support the motherboard manipulating its speed depending on the core temps)?

I have had a look around and there only a few places in the UK that i can find that sell these. And there are contradicting descriptions.

Any experience would be appreciated.

I have the clusters and it just has a 4pin fan plug for when in use as the main CPU fan. What i think it means is its variable speed in relation to temps. So if your cpu is idle and cool the fan slows to a nice silence but when warms up the fan speeds up to counter it. I cant see no reason why they wont run fine off the mobo.

Got an two enermax everests (the white fans with white LED) and they are great fans, also got two enermax Magmas which are slightly more powerful (Black exterior and red fan). Very very good fans if you can get hold of them

Clusters are white. Everests are blue and magmas red.

I was looking at getting the Everests (blue leds as youve said) but it seems that the only PWM ones out of the range of Enermaxs is the Cluster (White ones).

Yeah thats right, they are the ones I've got. Also note from that picture the cables are ready braided, a nice feature

You mean everests? I got mine from a large UK retailer that also have the magmas and everests.

Well any Enermax in general. Was looking for the Everests, but they arent PWM so cant replace my main fan near my CPU.
But i would happily settle for a Cluster one.

The only place in the UK i could find that sells then, has them for £9.41 + £6.99p+p

Does that sound similar to what you paid?

OK ill have a look cheers.
Need to sort out my 80mm rear fan aswell. thats just a normal fan that i can control with a dial.
But it is a cheap LED akasa one. It was for looks, but it is really loud on its quietest setting, so may look to get the Enermax Twister Everest 80mm aswell.

But yea, Im after those white Enermax fans. Only need 4, not a million like Webbo

But they look great and specs are the best Ive ever seen! Just hope theyre not exagerated

Yea, id settle for the Clusters becuase of the PWM feature. its just the white LEDs that are putting me off as the other lights on my case are blue.
Also, the Clusters are out of stock on there. due in yesterday but didnt arrive?

Meh, will have to wait then

Ordered 1 Enermax Twister Cluster 120mm (out of stock)
1 Enermax Twister Everest 80mm
Akasa PWM splitter
and a 45cm UV Orange SATAII cable to make up the £20 (exc. VAT) needed for the free delivery.

Says it should be here tomorrow, but, as i said, the Cluster is out of stock so.. We'll have to see.

Old thread, but couldn't resist taking some pics and posting in it as I'm a little excited

Just bought these, but this twister looks gorgeous, classiest fan I've ever seen. Gonna install these tomorrow.
