No mention of uprated rods? or are these strong as stock? not up on my 3S-GTE's

well pistons are of a good quality,most poeple do rods when uprating pistons so reason I asked

No they dont lol, more likely it was badly mapped especially if you added any mods and didnt remap it.

Maybe there were done, maybe that is what the other bits are. I am trying to get in touch with the guy who built the engine to find out the exact spec.

He is correct most gt4 engine failures are caused by excess heat by running higher boost. This causes damage to the piston ringlands which split and can score the block causing damage to piston and blocks alike.

Running forged pistons I believe largely eliminates these problems.
