England Flags Part 2

Heres hoping Algeria win

I hope England stay in this world cup right until the end. Don't care if they win or not though.

Why?

Simple, when England are playing the roads are almost empty. My mrs waited until the game started before leaving work and got home in 75 minutes whereas it normally takes her over 2 hours.

Also I went to do the weekly shopping while the game was on and I was the only bloke in there :D. I also noted that all the cheap crappy lager was gone from the shelves, with only the good beers left.

For those of you who do care about the football. This link should make the forums better.

Don't worry chaps. Expect to see less flags now the fickle fans aren't happy their team drew against a team which is happy to be wearing shoes for the day :p

/bad joke

Saw quite a few flags on the roads this morning, no idea if they snapped off or were thrown off.

Just as well they were handicapped by being made to wear 'shoes' imagine what might have happened otherwise :)

So can I hope the man I saw in Edinburgh in a St Georges Cross lycra outfit got his head smashed in then?

He most likely did, if he had to do that in other parts of Scotland then he defiantly would.

Edinburgh is a bit more multi cultured these days.

If you think there are a lot of England cars flags about at the moment you should head over to Germany where almost every car seems to have a German flag on it. They've also got little 'socks' in German colours which fit over wing mirrors.

Prob working and listening to it on the radio :)

Not sure what work involves driving around town at 8pm in a ratty old 306 or similar other than delivering pizza and they cant all be doing that :p

One chap was going into Currys, I hope for his sake it was to get a new TV as his just blew up :p

I got an England car flag sent to me in an order from OCUK a few weeks ago. I'm in Scotland. Flag will be getting returned with Algeria enscribed on it methinks:p

When the England match was on there was 3 kids playing in the back lane kicking a ball about with England tops on!

I take it they had been turfed out by their fathers while they watched the match with a few beers! :D

I just got back from a week in the Netherlands, tis the same over there, just with orange and the Dutch flag.

I just got back from 2 weeks in France and it's not the same there, no flags of any description (there are all the usual promos in various shops like there are here for England though)

No flags over here in Adelaide either, though they tend to crack them out around Australia day instead.
