-England v South Africa: Test, ODI and T20I series-

Taylor plays onto his stumps off the bowling of Morkel for 34. England are now 323-5 helped by a brilliant innings by Pietersen 143*. Will he win the battle of the P(i)etersen's and score more than 182?

Superb day out yesterday at the ground. Got the hangover to prove it!

KP's exhibition was awesome. Pure class , the jimmy saville tribute was awesome as well

Hmm, we're going to have to bowl like demons to win this, I'm not sure there's enough time left otherwise. I can't see Smith going for an aggressive declaration when his side are 1-0 in an away series.

I wanted any result other than an SA win in this test match, I'm glad that a draw is likely. I'm going to day 3,4 and 5 at Lord's so I want the match to have as much meaning as possible.

Cook and KP to open, not my preferred choice but still good for a smack.
Draw 99% likely but if Cook and KP can smash 150 odd at a run a ball SA might panic a bit.

12 from the first over so 241 needed from 38 that's about 6.4 an over. Could be very interesting.

EDIT: They need to score at a 50 over pace and these two used to open in the 50 over cricket so I can see why they were sent in.

It will be a draw.

That kind of run rate is extremely difficult to chase in a 50 over match, let alone a Test match on a day 5 pitch.

Can't watch this on Sky as a massive storm is effecting my satellite signal however from looking on ESPN Cricinfo I can see this is going to end with a draw. Was a bad move for Strauss to put himself in at number 3, should have been Prior then Bell at 4.

EDIT: What is the point of this? We had the chance to win this game and putting the pressure on them in the third match, instead Strauss has turned into his usual defensive mode and is blocking out for the draw. What is the ******* point!?

To be fair once KP was out it was always going to be near impossible. It's not like knocking them off in an ODI/T20 where you have fielding restrictions, tougher restrictions on wides etc.

One things for sure, England will feel a lot more confident going into the next test than they did this one. Hopefully Lords will produce a result, but I'd be surprised given the weather this summer and how flat it has been in the last few years!

He did a little interview on Talksport, basically he want to play as long as possible but can't due to his injury issues.
Wants to drop all ODI, loves playing T20 and will not give up IPL for anyone, would be ideal if he could play Tests and T20 for England, but not during the IPL period.
