English & European Football [24th - 29th Apr 2010] **spoilers**

Sorry, don't agree with that. I couldn't care less about Rangers or Celtic in European competition. In fact, I love it when they get knocked out.

Our UEFA Co-Efficient is already plummeting, soon enough we won't even get European places for the team that finishes 3rd in the league!
Seems very short sighted to love seeing the only two teams that are in any way capable of doing average in Europe getting knocked out.

Sure if the other teams were doing well then it wouldn't matter but quite simply any Scottish team outside of Rangers or Celtic are rightfully seen as cannon fodder in Europe. The only way to improve that is to have money flowing in to our game which gets less and less when the Old Firm are dwindling.

FAO Utd fans...Ribery wont be playing in the CL final next month;):p...unlucky for him.

why Utd fans?

Well seeing as they were pretty miffed at him getting Samba Nev sent off in the previous round...coupled with the fact that they seemed happy enough on here when he was given a red card and rightly so as it was a pretty silly and stupid challenge he made.

So i suppose him being out of the final would bring a smile to their face ie karma doing what karma does best.

true true. im hungover, brains not working too well right now :p

my estimation of him dropped with his poor performances over the 2 legs against man utd and then the challenge and also his off the pitch antics. quite frank-ly (couldnt help myself...) i dont think he deserves to step on to the pitch for the Champions League final with all this on him.

Wasn't the issue that he paid for sex with the girl who was under 18? That is what the crime is. If he hadn't paid there was nothing wrong with it given the age of consent in France is actually 15.

Can't say he's done 'that' much wrong on that front.

I just base my low opinions of him on the bits I've seen of him.

yup im not saying hes the worst guy. just my estimation of him went down with all of it. not even his ability on the field can raise it from, like you, the little ive seen of him live.

1940: It is Goran Pandev who misses out. The conspiracy theorists, not for the first time with Jose Mourinho, are going to be out in force this evening.

1939: This is incredible. There are reports that defender Christian Chivu is going to start for Inter Milan instead of striker Goran Pandev. Will let you know when we're 100% sure.

1947: Barca have Gerard Pique and Yaya Toure at centre-back, with Daniel Alves at right-back and Gabby Milito at left-back. Inter have defender Christian Chivu playing wide right up front, where Goran Pandev would have been. Early stages, though.

1945: Referee Frank De Bleeckere from Belgium gets us under way bang on time. Here we go...

1943: So Goran Pandev will play no part in proceedings tonight, with 21-year-old Austrian Marko Arnautovic on the bench. It's just brilliant already, isn't it?
