So I don't know what the term is for something like this, but I will just call it a play on words.

I'm needing lots of sayings that I can turn into visuals of the words, this is for a photography project...

Let me give you some examples...

butter fingers...

Make-up your mind...

Some very clever examples done by people over at http://www.worth1000.com

Let's see what anyone else can come up with? Just the words, you don't need to actually make an image out of it...

Talk to the hand
The lights are on but no one is home
hold your horses
two birds with one stone
put your money where your mouth is
The grass is always greener on the other side
