Third time in 5 seasons that we've seen Spurs drawn with the Gooners in the League Cup and it will be interesting to see who the managers experiment with.

Looking forward to seeing Sandro show what he's made of and if 'Arry will give Pletikosa a debut or stick with Cudicini. I've got a feeling Bentley might be given a chance against his old club too with Gio Dos Santos playing behind Pav.

--------------Pletikosa-----------------
Hutton--Gallas--Bassong--Naughton
Bentley--Palacios--Sandro--Kranjcar
---------------Giovani----------------
-----------Pavyluchenko---------------

Subs: Cudicini, Huddlestone, Bale, VDV, Lennon, Keane, Crouch

That line-up would certainly be experimental though I'm not sure if 'Arry will be that risky.

Will Arsenal play the "kids"?

a bench full of starting 11 players if things go downhill, this COULD be our only chance at a trophy :(

Realistically it will be. I'd like to see squad players who haven't been getting that much playing time being used in the competition rather than it being a full youth setup. I wouldn't mind Rosicky being used as he looks good and the more games he plays the better. However it may very well be that this Saturday we'll need him so best not risk injuring him..or something along those lines.

Spurs will be playing a very strong line up, I reckon we should at least go for this. It's W Brom on Saturday, no disrespect to them, but we could rotate a little then in time for next week's Champion's League game.

Hughes will play a first team where possible, to regain the fitness so our team vs Stoke will probably be;

Schwarzer
Kelly/Pantsil - Hughes - Hangeland - Salcido/Kelly
Duff - Murphy - Etuhu - Davies
Dembele - Dempsey

Should be fun watching the Toon get spanked. I doubt he will put out the strongest team but he will give it a go. But even Chelsea reserves will hand us a lesson :D

I think we are going to struggle . Dembele looks quality to me and Demps always plays well against us.

How many are turning up? More or less than the usual 50? :D

Wenger banned from the touchline for this game, doesn't bode well for L'Arse. ;)

Sczezeczezczeczny has complained to the papers about not getting in the squad:

SkySports said:
"Despite our talks before the season, Arsene Wenger seems to forget he has a goalkeeper named Wojciech Szczesny in the team. He is avoiding me at every occasion," Szczesny told Polish daily Gazeta Wyborcza.

"Wenger told me to fight for a first-team place, but then he didn't include me in the squad for the Carling Cup game.

"My friends told me not to worry, that it's a marathon, and not a sprint. But a marathon isn't about running in the same place for three years.

"I'm ready to play at the highest level but I need a club that believes in a 20-year-old. In Arsenal there's no such bravery. My main goal is to play for Arsenal, but if there's a move option, we'll have words."

Can't say I blame him. I don't know why he's not getting a chance, given his quality form for Brentford. It's more than Mannone and Fabianski have managed.

Should be an interesting match though to be fair I think our non first team will be weak compared to the Spurs' side which will consist of fewer youth/reserve players.

Still, perfect time for somebody to really have a go. Randall for example hasn't come up as much as Ramsey or Wilshere. They're our old traditional rivals as well hahargh come on Arsenal.

The game isn't played from the side of the pitch. :p

After Sunderland, try telling Jack Wilshere that.

Near impossible to guess the Spurs side. I have no idea who will be playing, other that Pletikosa, Kranjcar and Sandro who I'd guess will all be certs.

Dos Santos and Pavlyuchenko up front I reckon, with Kranjcar and Palacios as the experienced heads in the team. The rest to be padded out by youngsters, hopefully this won't be a one sided match and we'll see some real end to end stuff. Spurs have been playing some decent on the eye football of late, this will be a cracking game, even though Flappyhandski is total **** at least it makes it slightly exciting. Personally I don't care that much about the result, it's the Carling Cup, I'd prefer we concentrated on more prestigious silverware such as the FA Cup, mounting a serious title challenge and progressing far into the CL.
