Look at all the lovely live televised matches this year, fantastic, cant wait for the season to get into full swing this weekend. So much lovely footie to watch this season :D
 
Cesc apparently is playing for Spain in Mexico, Wenger's come out and said a few times he's not sure if he'll be back or match fit. In terms of the latter RvP's still lacking apparently.

My extreme excitement is tempered by the fear that we will probably struggle against Liverpool given our already tediously long list of absentees, and the fact we haven't sodding well signed a keeper or another centre-back... :-|

but hey I'd settle for a draw, even if that means we'll be 2pts behind Chelsea and United from the first gameweek, and prolly never catch that up!!
 
Torres is still out for them isn't he? I'm clinging to the hope that they might not be full strength either.

It's good to see we're not wasting time with our injuries this season. No need to wait for a few months in when our hopes have needlessly built up this time.

And to Arsenal fans, is Fabregas and RVP really out for Sunday? If so it's messed up my fantastic looking FF team for the opening weekend. ****ers. :p
 
They're just a bit knackered after the World Cup and then the Pointless Friendly Abroad last week, so Wenger's probably going to make a late decision, just to keep you guessing. There should be a press conference sometime round now, so there might be more news soon.

I have a feeling he'll risk them. Liverpool are too good a team not to play our best possible players against, especially when our midfield is so thin at the moment.

but yeah Linoge, the Arsenal situation is far from clear, which i why i steered clear in Fantasy Footy and tried to pick players that would definitely play, rather than ones that are doubts.

Wenger does rush players back for big games, so Weebull may well be right.

I'm already excited as hell, proper football at last!!!!!

I'm happy to be watching arsenal again but I'm really dreading this season, the injury crisis has already hit and I'm sure they're more to come. This season is really make or break for us. We have the potential to take the league by storm and win it, or with the likes of Villa, City, Everton and Tottenham (lolwhat?) all challenging for the top 4, we could be in serious s*** if we don't perform at 100% throughout the season!

Nobody really knows at the moment. Hodgson has said that the medical team don't want him to play this early but they also said that no WC players should play in the Europa League game and all (who had returned to training) except Masch played in at least 1 leg.

In his pre-match press conference Hodgson did say that Torres' own feeling will be taken into account so I wouldn't bet against him at least being in the squad if not starting.
