English League Football ** spoilers ** [22nd - 25th October 2010]

Good start from West Ham, stays this way I am on for £18 from 10p :p:D (should have wagered more, though my house mate has done and is on for £800!). Long way to go.

I was there today was a pretty good game. Should've had another goal in the second half. Fulham looked like they were missing a few though, very disjointed.

BOING BOING! :D

They were :p

It's annoying to blame referees etc, but at least one of the goals should have been disallowed imo. Ah well, we didn't play well enough to warrant a win anyway.

Ozil's technically brilliant. Lovely player.

Does look like he's just been punched in both eyes though.

For his price Ozil looks the buy of the season.

I think it was one of those situations where even though Ozil was Werder Bremen's, the German club couldn't really push for more, even after he made a name for himself at the WC. I think if the player wants to go, it's best to get anything rather than risk running out his contract / making him unhappy. Werder aren't that big.

Ozil is brilliant, just the type of player I enjoy watching. Always looking for the decisive forwards pass and is often good enough to pull it off. Also injects tempo into a move when he gets the ball, Wilshere also has the same quality to drive forwards into space

Agree. Gave us a footballing lesson at Anfield earlier in the season and were very unlucky not to win on the day.

Very refreshing to see all three Championship teams come up and look to play football this season.

Yep West Brom are actually a good team from what I've seen (the only other side I've seen win at the Emirates was Chelsea). Normally with promoted teams when they do well people put it down to "grit and determination" (c) Hansen, hard work, physical presence, set pieces etc. But I was genuinely impressed with their play. I'd say on their basis of their play this season they are certainly no worse than recent middling teams like Fulham, Sunderland, Blackburn etc.

Before the season started I fancied Newcastle to stay up but didn't pick WB. Early days yet of course but to be in 4th place having already played away at Stamford Bridge, Emirates, Old Trafford and Anfield (the 'traditional big four') is a helluva achievement.
