Apologies for posting this thread so far in advance, it might be the only time I get to do it. :)

Hopefully there are no games postponed this weekend! :p

Liverpool can kiss goodbye to any aspirations of a top 4 finish, it just isn't going to happen now especially with the likes of Man City and Villa on decent runs. They need a miracle. So we're half way through the transfer window and Utd haven't signed anyone or even look remotely like signing anyone. Great stuff. It's not like we need any new players is it...

This weekend could be very interesting.

Can't see why not, considering keepers, for decades have taken a towel over with them to the goal, good for them, throw in takers should be allowed them. If you're losing a game because of a towel, its your own fault, not the towels.

The problem for Liverpool is they have been woeful defending set pieces, and having that good a throw in taken is like doubling/tripling your effective corner set pieces.

It's time wasting more than anything, and I've not seen many keepers spend 20 seconds drying a ball before, and if they did they'd likely see a yellow card for it and rightly so. Delap week after week goes through his little ball drying ritual with all his towels spread around the pitch. It shouldn't be allowed. They should bring in a rule that you've 5 seconds to take the throw in or something along those lines.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but without fail every single time I have seen Liverpool concede, Reina and his defenders all put their hands up and look at the linesman.

slightly off topic on Rafa. Any news when Hargreaves is returning for us ?

Well he's apparently training right now, still to play his first reserve match but I really don't hold much hope for him playing in the first team for another few months, that is if he doesn't break down in training or during a reserve match. :( Should that happen I reckon we'll be putting in an insurance claim.

On a side note, United look completely toothless in front of goal, and defensively, are all over the place.

Nani is getting slated by the commentators, but in the first half, we have had two shots on target, both by Nani.

Yeah he needs a good run of games, very much a confidence player. Don't understand why Neville is playing... I'd rather have Rafael on.

We had numerous shots on goal but a combination of a world class display from Myhill and Hull's entire lineup having a mother's meeting in the box meant it was just another one of those days.

At least Liverpool won't park the bus.

I think you're going to drub Liverpool by a few goals. Should be an excellent game.
