Enough power?

Is 500W enough for:

Q6600
8800GT
2 Hard drives
1 Optical drive

Want to get a good o/c on the cpu. Already have the 500W psu so if I can I want to keep it. Tried some power comsumption calculating websites and the system would consume less than 400W by them, even with the o/c. Thought Id ask for other ppls experiences on this matter though....

I have a Tagan 480W powering :

Q6600 @ 3.4Ghz
8800GTS 512 OC
4 Gig of Ram PC8000
2 Harddrives
1 Optical Drive

Should be plenty if its a good quality one like AgeIdiot said

Just make sure it is a decent quality one, not some generic 500w PSU that couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding
