Can anyone tell me if a "MSI GeForce GTX 460 Cyclone 768MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card" would run on a Corsair CX 400W comfortably?

Rest of the system spec is:

C2D E6550 @2.8GHz
2x2GB DDR2 6400
Asus P5K
500GB seagate
DVDRW
WIFI

Thanks

If you already have the CX400 just stick with it, it's good for 450W. With your system and that graphics card I doubt you will ever get near 300W unless you used linX and furmark at the same time.

Aaaah, you didn't say you already owned the power supply

If you're happy to use a molex adapter then you'll likely find one comes with the graphics card.

Just to spice things up a bit, if I added say a Q6600 or Q8400 as well would that cause any problems or will it still cope well? Thanks.

A trip to a power calculator gives a minimum of 314 watt with 364 watt recommended for a G0 Q6600 or a Q8400.

Should work OK but not a lot of headroom for overclocking.
