Hello knowledgable OCUK People,

At the moment, I have a setup:

1 x AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition 3.1GHz 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 Retail Boxed Processor
1 x ASUS M4A78-VM 780G Socket AM2+ HDMI DVI VGA 8 Channel Audio MATX Motherboard
1 x Western Digital WD5000AAKS 500GB SATAII 7200RPM 16MB Cache - OEM Caviar Blue
1 x Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 XMS2 Memory Kit CL5 1.8v
1 x Liteon 52x32x52x16 CD-RW/DVD Combo Drive Internal IDE Black Bare Drive - OEM
2 x Fans

Powered by:

OCZ 400W Stealth XStream PSU

I am about to add a Nvidia GTS 250

Will the power be enough?

Thank you :)

Im sure that will be enough.

There are psu calculators on the web which will give you a general idea on what psu to opt fo as it will include other power source like fans and lights etc giving a better you a better idea

Thanks all for the replies. I know there are calculators, but I considered your instant knowledge to be even more useful. Good to know it should be ok!

Thanks again.

How much is that PSU? If it's not much more get the corsair 400W version.

Corsair PSU's have been known to go higher than their rated wattage. Not saying OCZ's don't either this is just my recommendation.

Like Mason has stated a 400watt corsair will give you more options and headroom for a little further future developement (minor though). If you look around the interent theres a direct competitor who is selling the corsair 400 watt psu for a pretty good deal.
