Hi all.

Got a standard small ensuite. Need the old shower/tiles around shower and tray ripping out.

We are having it fully tiled but keeping the existing toilet and sink and floor as they are in good condition.

Been quoted £2000 for the Job so that will take it to around £3000 with materials.

As a benchmark would this seem reasonable?
The guy has done work for us in the past and was spot on.

Have prices increased this much post COVID ?

£2k sounds fair, I assume it'll take over a week, and I'd be happy paying that..

We've just had ours done. Complete rip out, including plasterboard, flooring, toilet, sink, shower, tray, everything apart from ceiling, electrics, and insulation really.

Total cost is around £7.5k for labour and all new parts; tiles, ply, plasterboard, shower, tray, toilet, sink, units, radiator, plumbing etc.

£2k seems fair to me.

That's a reasonable price in the current climate.

Pre-covid it would have been around £1-1.5k
