Entry level 3D Monitor

Don't forget if you want 3D you will need to factor in buying Nvidia Vision kit (1 or 2) as well as needing a Nvidia graphics card to use with the vision kit as these dont come with the BenQ XL2420T.
The alternatives if you have an ATI card or dont want to buy a vision kit would be the Samsungs S23A750D, S27A950D or there is also a cheaper version of the S23A750D but can't remember the model number as they come with glasses etc but over Jamy's budget.
As for Jamy with strict budget you do have the option of LG D2342P 23" (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18377655) while not a 120hz 3D monitor and you may need to track down the correct glasses if it doesn't come with the passive monitor 3D instead of Cinema 3D glasses, but for the price the 3D does work with the tridef software it comes with and will run with any graphics card and in 2D its still a reasonable monitor

+1 for the LG D2342P, amazing value (got it for £129.99 delivered)and I am really chuffed at how good it is. Playing Skyrim and Fallout NV and loving it. The Tridef software is excellent and ,as I understand it, does 1080p @60hz and on my 470GTX plays great, no slow downs so far. Oh and my monitor came with the correct glasses, should say 3D Monitor on the leg. No ghosting\crosstalk problems at all.
Yeah, I'll take a look into it, I'm assuming Passive 3D is what the 3DS uses? Because thats the 3D I can't stomuch. 3D Cinema Glasses is what I'm after.

The 3DS uses a special type of 3D display - a parallax barrier, for auto stereoscopy (no glasses 3D).
In contrast the passive 3D used by that LG monitor is the same type as used at the cinema (in fact the realD cinema glasses may work with it).
Though I feel I should point out that with the passive3D tech each eye only sees a half-resolution image - so images won't look quite as detailed as on a 2D display (or a 3D display that uses active shutter glasses where each eye alternates looking at a full-resolution image).
Also, you will need a graphics card with a good deal of grunt to power through 3D games smoothly - since each frame needs to be renedered twice (once per eye).
