Crappy RAM and power supply and no SSD... but it will do the trick.

2 things easily sorted later down the line, I would have loved that system to get me going.

I think the Dad's are going to be the most excited on xmas day watching the kids open these!

Yes i know mate , but will do him to start him off , did not add SSD as have a few here on desk , and yes the power supply is crap , do not think it will run my Aorus GTX 1080 ti waterforce xtreme lol
but will do him for now , till he joins the big boy PC gang lol

Why not send it back and start again and build it yourself

Am happy with it for him and not a bad price for a intel Core i5-8400 2.8GHz (Coffee Lake) starter pc in my eyes , { if i build it he would end up with a £2000+ PC lol } i would get carryed away building it , so saves me money this way

Money could have been saved or better hardware but as stated would have ended up getting carried away and this system purchased is good base line

Decent choice, should run most games at around Medium settings I believe.

8400 is a beast, to be honest, even i3 8100 for him would have been fine and give a reason to sit him down next year to perform a CPU upgrade
