The VTEC engagement on the EP3 is nothing like that on the DC5 you had before, its barely notable in comparison!

hmm that doesnt sound to good. Im looking at some ep3s but havent had chance to take one for a test drive as of yet.

Been looking for a ep3 for a long time now, and i just cant seem to find one for the right money/condition, look on auto trader every month or so and the ones i want 55/06 premiere edition with <60k miles cosmic grey are all commanding £6.5k-£7k which is too much! at the moment i have a EP2 which looks just like the type R just lacks the power!

Keep thinking to myself im crazy to spend 6-7k on a ep3 when thats DC5 money

I wouldn't pay anything over £5k on any EP3 now, including JDM's.

Yea my budget is around 5k, 5.5k tops, hopefully sell my ep2 55 plate cosmic grey for 3k private full honda service history 10 stamps mint condition

cars are a bit cheaper over here at the minute, i reckon should be able to get a ep3 for 3500 tops thats worth having, its just waiting for the right one

Same applies to R33 and R32 but the RWD have different designations.

I love my EP3 and hopefully the looked after ones will be seen as classics one day.

I couldn't think about selling mine for 3-4k, it's worth so much more to me. Knowing I had a great example to begin with, there is not many cars out there than can come close to Performance / Running Costs and Practicality.

Trying to take care of mine and keep it in the best condition possible as I know I don't want and cannot foresee me selling it for many many years to come.

Finally you didn't mention the KPRO!

EP3's are great, like said many times, it's difficult to get a good example as they fall into 'vtec innit bro' types. I think for best £ and performance car they're pretty much bang on the money. They are heaps of fun.

I dont think they will ever make it TBH. ek9 is always going to be more rare and there not even looking like falling into 'classic' status

so im guessing anything less than 300bhp isnt fun
