** EPIC DELL PRICES: 24", 27" & 30" PROFESSIONAL MONITORS: WEEKEND SPECIALS! **

I'm really wanting a nice 16x10 24" but I'm risking divorce if I order. I can see the divorce paper now "Reason for divorce = OCUK"... :D

Very tempted by the U2711, but just a quick question - what cables are supplied with the monitor or do i need to buy a cable to connect to my 5870 graphics card?

Mark

Ps finger poised on buy button.

It comes with DVI cable for sure, power cable etc.

Placed my order for the Dell U2711 a few minutes ago. :)

Should be here on Monday or Tuesday. Will setup eyefinity so I can have TeamSpeak and Mumble on my current 32" monitor. :p

Your biased Lol.
How much would you reccomend it though - seriously? Is it good for all round use, photography, gaming etc.

Loved it since the day I got it. It's fairly taxing to run games at 2560x1600 in terms of Gfx hardware. But damn it's purdy... I can even turn off the AA and fancy stuff at this res and it doesn't make any different imo :)

It's a brilliant all round monitor.

I take it you mean a dual dvi cable ?

From Dell:

WHAT'S IN THE BOX

Monitor with stand
Power Cable
DVI Cable
DisplayPort(DP) Cable
VGA Cable (attached to the monitor)

Drivers and Documentation media
Color Calibrated Factory Report
Quick Setup Guide
Safety Information

The DVI cable should be dual link.

It was with my U3011.

I'm umming and arring about the GFX power that the HD 6990 will have to power the 27".

Jumping to 2 x 7970 is a little heavy on the wallet just to power this beast!

I game on a single 5850 (heavily overclocked of course) on my u2711 and it's fine. I can't max bf3, but I can play it at mostly high settings at full res with about 50 fps, and most normal games can be maxxed out. It's really the best upgrade I made since I moved to SSD. Fantastic for photo editing, gaming and desktop work. It really is the sex. Get it!

I ordered my Dell U2711 on Friday night and it's out for delivery today (Monday) between 1PM and 2PM.

I'll take some pictures from my phone and let you guys know how I get on. :)

Bumping for great deals! £100 off a Dell UltraSharp 27", can't beat that! Especially if you're working with colours/graphics. :)
