Guys

I have been comparing 2 different rams

http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr2_pc2_9200_reaper_hpc_edition

Reaper edition with EPP

or

http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr2_pc2_8500_sli_ready_edition_dual_channel

Or SLI edition

Whats the differnce between the SLI and EPP ?

The reaper states * ***EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles) setting is rated at 1142MHz* is this not still the same as and SLI profile as in i just enable memory SLI in my bios , if so why call it 2 diff things ?

Also if i buy 4 gigs of either will SLI or EPP still enable ?

EPP - Enhanced performance profile.

Basicly this will set your ram at its advertised speed such as 4-4-4-12 with the correct voltage aslong as your motherboard also supports EPP. If not then your motherboard will most likely slacken the timings and lower the voltage to (SPD) settngs and you then have to do it manually. As an example :

My corsair C4 has EPP. My Motherboard has EPP tech. If I enable the 'expert' setting in the motherboard bios the memory speed and voltage is detected correctly with timings of 4-4-4-12 @2.1v - if not then the memory runs at 5-5-5-18 @ 1.9v

SLI - not sure but my memory is SLI certified, I think its just an advertising gimmick.
