Eps files?

I keep receiving images at work in eps format that wont open on my laptop...
Anyone know the best program to use for opening them and then maybe converting them into another format?

Adobe illustrator I used to use back in the day, i think they can be imported into photoshop but not edited as they vector based.

EPS will open in Fireworks and Illustrator which will retain vector editability. You can import them into Photoshop which will convert them the resolution you desire and will then be saved in a raster format.

I don't know of any free/cheaper software out there. Maybe Gimp.

You can also load them into flash 8 and below
