Erasing Data from SSD

Last week's new build has been causing me problems. Got it up and running and installed Win8.1 on my Crucial M.2 SSD, along with other programmes.

Increasingly the SSD was not recognised in my BIOS and I would have to remove it, clear CMOS and reboot. It may then be recognised and boot, but sometimes didn't.

Anyway, it got to the stage when I couldn't boot at all, and I am returning the SSD for a refund.

However, how do I erase the data on the SSD before returning if I cannot install it on my system ? Magnets ? :)

Cheers
Baz

I doubt anybody at Crucial is going to scan the SSD for your private information.
If it does not work then its unlikely they would waste much time on it, and just send a replacement.
If you have serious concerns about what is on the SSD, then I think you will have to bite the bullet and destroy the SSD yourself and buy another drive.
