So after major problems with my timetable and completely unhelpful office staff, my attendance had dropped to about 20%.

There's three different places you can access the timetable and they said different things. I went to the office who told me to see someone, when i went to see that person she said i cant help you, go back to the office.

So anyway today I'm trying to login and I can't access anything at all except my email. VPN, FTP, Student Portal, everything says my account is disabled.

I also recieved an email from my lecturer, basically telling me to "Please return the hard drive you stole from computer 17 in room 215 at 2:15PM". Now I'm really scared because it actually says "Dear Asim..." in the body of the email, not "Dear, Students.."

FML tbh :(

Probably best the uni lets you go tbh. If you cannot even work out to photocopy a friends timetable so you know where and when to turn up. I don't think uni is for you...

Also why not steal something expensive rather than HDD which are cheap as chips...
I don't have any friends at uni, yet, hopefully.

And I also mentioned that the timetables are messed up. Even the office staff were confused. There's no paper based timetables to photocopy, they're all scattered on the intranet and internet.

Either the uni is so crap they can't even get it together to produce a comprehensible timetable, or your not capable of reading. Either way I'd say the uni isn't for you

Well, I've managed to get through school and college with no timetable problems, so it must be their fault then...

School timetables aren't exactly hard to understand, and colleges cares so little about attendance that not understanding a timetable doesn't actually matter, at all.
It's not the "understanding" of the timetable, the timetables are just plain incorrect. When went to the designated class at the designated time, the tutor said I'm not on the register and told me to go away.

It was a big guy with a ponytail, so I just left.

He had a ponytail, so you left? Did you ask him what the class was, uni's are generally, pathetic, people not being registered onto courses they should be is ridiculously common, as is misreading a timetable.
Yes I left. He didnt want to chat, kept saying "sorry, sorry, sorry, I cant login to the intranet, cant help you".

Considering its a uni, and everything is on the intranet(including these days 98% of your course content) you should also realise that there will be a bulletin board somewhere, for one of your modules, subjects, actual course or more likely for the department your course is run by. I am certain your timetables ARE on that intranet and I'm certain 50 other people have asked about their timetable in those forums and your answer is right there.
I've browsed the forum, nothing relevant on there.

As for attendance, why would you bring up attendance as a reason for being thrown out, when you say you've received a note telling you to return something you stole. Its pretty simple, when accused of theft, AND not guilty, you go talk to the person who accused you, not post on an internet forum.
Do you want me to fly over to his house immediately? I don't know where he lives mate, I assume he's at home right now with his family or whatever.

Are you the guy who was asking why your friends wouldn't take you seriously in a recentish thread, when you started standing up for yourself a bit more they thought you were being rude, rather than doing whatever they say.

If that was you, and you still need an answer, re-read this thread.
Not me :)

I've replied to the email, and I'm just gonna go in tomorrow like normal. Luckily I've saved my timetable (at least the correct parts of it) on my phone beforehand.

Erm guys... I wasn't asking for any advise. How has this thread made 8 pages? lol.

I spoke to the guy about the hard drive, he said he sent that email to a few students and if it wasn't you, don't worry about it.

They blocked my account because of the low attendance which has now climbed to 32%. Something's obviously missing from my timetable. I've booked an appointment to see someone about that tomorrow.

I dont understand why you all expect me to jump up immediately and do something about it. I only found out about it yesterday evening, and I've sorted it this morning.

Anyway, thanks for the entertainment. lol :D I love you guys.

:D
Excellent :D

That sounds like you didn't register with the uni, which is why you dont have access to portal etc. You best go to student admin, instead of your home departments secretarial staff for advice.

Why are people still giving suggestions? The issue has been solved long ago lol.

And no, it's not because I didn't register. I did have access to all the stuff previously.

Spoke to the Department Office today, The ******** decided to forget about my appointment and take another day off. So that's one more day I've missed. Receptionist said my attendance is now 13% somehow :eek:.

Went to see the course coordinator today, and again couldnt see him. Today he was busy.. He told me to wait outside his office, waited for half an hour, then got a call from the reception telling me to come back on Monday.

:(
