Erratic 80 degree idle on my graphics card - any advice?

It as a gift from my folks, the other retailer tested it - it was overheating but they still wanted me to pay to have it posted back!

I said no, RMA, they fannied about so long I complained and eventually sent them an invoice and got a refund at current market value.

I got a evga gtx 680 OC, B grade here on overclockers for £299, I registered the warranty and extended to 10 years! It is great, very quiet and I am so glad that I no longer have to deal with the other doughnuts.
