Hey all, my friend recently bought Windows 7 Professional and wanted to use it to upgrade from Home Premium by running the setup while in Windows, and clicking the upgrade option, the problem is that when she tries to do this, she receives the error that so many people seem to have received which claims there isnt enough space free on the partition, and that Windows installation cannot continue until space is made free on the partition. I've seen a number of fixes for this but as theres such a hive mind of people here that have years upon years of Windows experience, I wanted to ask if anyone has had this error before, how did they go about fixing it? my first thought is to try and run the CD from startup either by burning the .iso to disc or mounting it onto a USB stick and then running it from startup may then convince windows it's installing to the SSD rather than some other imaginary partition? it's a single partition drive and the .iso was mounted in Windows so it wasnt running from a small drive with insufficient space or anything like that, but any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you :)

Thats the problem, people have so many solutions for this error and the error seems to have multiple reasons why it even appears, which makes it all the more confusing, but there are a few things in there I will definitely recommend trying too thank you :), but getting to the root of it sounds like a web of fixes, hopefully one of the first ones work! :D hehe, but thank you for the help :)
