Ok, here's a weird one for you.....
I can play .avi files on my xBox 360 with no problems. However if I begin an .avi file playing AND then press A to select the play controls it stops the video with this error message:
Can't play this content because it may not be supported.
Status code: 69-C00D36C4
This code 69-C00D36B4 Relates to either the video codec or the audio codec is unsupported, or one of the streams in a video file is corrupted.
Why does it cause this ONLY when I select the play controls? It would do this on EVERY .avi file I have, yet would play them all the way through had I not selected A.
I play my files off an external HDD - which has been thoroughly scanned for malware. If I unplug the drive and plug back in it still won't play the files - this is a permanent error on the files.
Any suggestions appreciated.
