Right so as the title says, I'm getting BSODs quite often.
Code: 0x000116, with "atimng.exe" or something like that(i'll take a photo next time, should happen soon anyway)

Right I know it's AMD driver issue, but can that be fixed? Every time I install different version of drivers, something isn't working.
AMD drivers are such a joke, I'm now pretty sure I'll sell my 7970s and buy two 680s because I'm fed up!

Try downloading the new 12.4. Remove old drivers and restart then run driver sweeper to remove the left over files and restart again and then install new drivers and test.

What games are crashing? I have 2 7970s and only game that made my PCbsod is Alan Wake which is a known issue and may of been fixed. I just installed the 8.95.5 drivers and haven't tested AW yet.

I did have issues like you and it turned out to be faulty card.

DON'T run Driver Sweeper! I did that a couple of times and all of a sudden after using it one day my PC kept locking up every 30 secs, had to re-install Windows.

Download ATIman uninstaller and leave it do it's thing, I have Xfire 7970's aswell sometimes I have to run it twice. After you finish and you have a horrible 800X600 res screen install any drivers except the 12.2. The 12.4 drivers are recommended by a lot of 79XX owners on here.

Edit: Here's an opinion and a link to the 12.4 betas;

I tried the 12.2 drivers for 10 minutes, the 7970 would run better with Nvidia drivers than those lol.
The later drivers are a massive improvement.

Not had any problems with it here. I dont use it to fully un-install drivers. I un-install drivers in windows programs, then once that finished run driver sweeper to remove left over files dont see how you can get a problem like that.

It wrecked my life for 6 hours a couple of weeks ago, worked for me before alright.

I uninstalled catalyst and display driver then driver sweeper and after I restarted again I kept getting lockups. I'm putting it down to DS anyway! Hasn't happened me since.

Just thought I'd add: I HATE 000000x116! F U!!!!

Sorry *Cough*

I had the same BSOD with CF HD6970's and SLI GTX 570's, never figured out what the issue was with the CF 6970's but with the GTX570's one of the 24pin wires had burnt out, and so I guess wasn't supplying enough power when under load (although I got the BSOD when idle sometimes, but not very often).

So my advice would be to check all connections to make sure they are secure and that there's no burn marks anywhere.

Okay guys thanks so much for all the answers.
I was using ATIMan before so I rather stick to it, still thanks.

Crashes are happening while in idle, sorry for not so much details in my first post. System is crashing in IDLE, when browsing the web and watching youtube. Nothing advanced...

I hope that the cards are not faulty. I had to RMA one of them once already...
Anyway the thing is that, the cards has been running fine for few weeks. Then I reinstalled drivers to 12.3 (official) and what happened was, everytime I logged on to my account, system instantly crashed. There was no way of uninstaling the drivers even in safe mode.

So I had to format my entire system, and then I have installed the drivers. Even different ones, and that's what happens now.
I understand that the drivers linked in this thread are the right ones? Cool, I'll install them in few minutes and see how it goes.

Yea, 000000x116 is very annoying. Not too much information about it online and just pops randomly.

I will check connections too, thank you.
