ES File Manager (Android)

Hi All,

Not quite sure if this is the right place to put this??

I currently use ES File Manager to play music on my SD card and over my LAN. This works fine, however if I lock the screen/the screen locks itself after a few minutes the phone stops playing music.

I've spoken to a friend of mine who has suggested that after the initial lock the phone waits a few minutes before it goes into a "deep sleep" mode.

I was wondering if there was any way to get past this or if there was a music app which people could suggested which allows me to do the LAN play.

Are you sure it's not just the option "Keep Wi-fi on during sleep", under Wifi->Advanced?

It does the above even running of the SD card.

What version of Android / what phone?

Also any task-killer/task manager software installed (if so remove any gallery and media related apps from the task-killer)

Could be Sony's Stamina Mode - either disable it or you have to add ES File Manager to the "Apps in Active Standby" list

Are you using the ES music player or a different app to play the music? Why not just use a dedicated music app?

Using the ES Music player, it's just the "Go To" app as it allows the browsing of folders on the SD and network.
