ES processor??

Early samples, and thus usually on an early stepping (complete with any issues that early steppings come with). Have often been thrashed to within an inch of their lives.

Only worth considering if they're a sample of a yet to be released CPU.

humm i seam to have 1 in a laptop ive just received (new)

You really should send that back.. ES CPU's are not for retail sale... I would say you have been done... Engineering samples actually stay the property of Intel... So leagally you have recieved stolen goods... Send it back...

Which CPU is it? Both CPU-Z and Core Temp are reporting different processors, so it's quite possible that it's too new for them to report correctly.

i was on the phone to them today and they said they will ring me back so ill be ring again in the morning chasing it

Well thats it i dont know what it is nothing tells me :S

i was told it should be a T8300 i think but, the guy on the phone appeared to be just as confused as me?

these are the latest versions of the softwares? so should b up to date?

yer either of the 126 or the -26!! its running ok at the minute (im on it) its crashed a fair bit though and BOSD'd 5 times in 2days (3 this evening)

the really weird thing us nothing is the same on the different programs only the cpu speed? the rest is all different nothing seams to be able to read this thing!

Temps are being mis-reported.

The E8300 is a desktop processor, so it's probably a T8300.

Yes sorry ive been thinking of and E8 series for my desktop recently lol my fingers wrote that instead of T haha
